What is the Shores & Islands Ohio Annual Meeting?
The Shores & Islands Ohio Annual Meeting is a yearly gathering of partners, stakeholders, and community leaders to reflect on progress, celebrate achievements, and look ahead to future opportunities. The 2026 meeting highlights the theme Honoring our past, shaping our future in alignment with America 250.
Join us for an evening of updates, recognition, and connection with others who help shape tourism in the region.

Tickets and Registration
- General Admission: $40 per person
- Table of six: $200
- Registration deadline: Apr 22, 2026
Guests may purchase individual tickets or reserve a full table. Attendee names can be submitted during registration or marked as TBD if needed.
2026 Shores & Islands SHORE AWARD
Shores & Islands Ohio is accepting nominations for our annual Superior Hospitality Recognition “SHORE” Award in recognition of an individual in Shores & Islands Ohio’ tourism industry who demonstrates the true spirit of hospitality, customer satisfaction, and commitment to service to the people of our community and our guests. This individual goes beyond the typical job description to enhance the guest's experience which contributes to the overall destination success of Shores & Islands Ohio.

GENERAL RULES:

All nominations must be received by Shores & Islands Ohio by April 13, 2026.

There is no limit on the number of nominations you may enter. Self-nominations will also be considered.
- The recipient will be announced during the annual meeting taking place April 29, 2026 at Sawmill Creek Resort.
- The award, as determined and presented by Shores & Islands Ohio is final.
ELIGIBILITY:
- Nominees must be individuals who have a direct or indirect affiliation with the tourism industry within Shores & Islands Ohio. If your nominee interacts with guests (leisure, meetings and/or conventions) in any way, consider your submission eligible.
- Entrants must have been working in this capacity in Shores & Islands Ohio in either a paid or volunteer position in 2025.

SHORESandISLANDS.com serves as the hub for trip planning and inspiration, while we also provide partners with valuable tools such as cooperative marketing opportunities, training, and data insights.
How We’re Funded
Our efforts are fueled through a reinvestment model that benefits the entire region. A portion of the lodging tax collected from overnight stays in Erie and Ottawa counties directly supports our work, meaning visitors help fund future marketing and destination development. Additional support comes from cooperative programs and sponsorships with area businesses, strengthening both the visitor experience and the local economy.
